This 2.5'' x 10'' carbon block water filter replacement cartridge fits standard 10'' housings and our Pearl-T water filter. It reduces chlorine, bad tastes, and nasty odours from mains water, delivering cleaner drinking water for kitchens, under sink systems and drinking water filters.
Compatible with standard 2.5 x 10'' housings, most undersink drinking water systems (unless you have one that only fits a bespoke size cartridge), caravan water filtration, office drinking water systems, coffee machines, ice makers, single and twin housing systems, and reverse osmosis pre-filtration stages.

Let's compare carbon block cartridges with sediment filters and 1 micron filters. Sediment filters remove dirt, rust and particles. Carbon block filters additionally reduce chlorine, taste and odours. A 5 micron filter provides good flow rates while reducing sediment and chlorine. A 1 micron filter captures finer particles but may reduce flow.

Yes. Independent laboratory testing verifies more than 90% chlorine removal. If you're on mains water there will be chlorine or chloramine present, and this coconut shell carbon block reduces chlorine along with taste, odour and sediment.
Over prolonged time under compression the O-ring's profile can flatten; the cross section should be round, and if it isn't it may not seal easily. Even without an obvious leak we recommend replacing the O-rings every two or three years as a precaution. As O-rings age and compress, the bowl has to be tightened more, which makes it harder to loosen next time you change the cartridge.
