Template Assisted Crystallisation® (TAC®) technology keeps scale-causing minerals from forming deposits on any metal surfaces or fixtures. TAC® technology does not add or remove any chemicals from your water, allowing essential minerals such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium to remain without the unwanted scale on your pipes. HydroTAC® is proven to remove and prevent up to 99.6% of scale through multiple independent scientific studies. This cartridge is long lasting; unlike softeners, the media is not consumed by the reactions. This TAC® filter cartridge lasts up to 3 years without needing to be replaced, so no monthly fees or maintenance required.
HydroTAC® uses Template Assisted Crystallization® (TAC®) technology, which converts “hard” minerals into inactive “soft” scale particles via patented TAC® technology. The media is made of a specially treated polymer that has microscopic nucleation sites where these minerals are forced to crystallize on each other rather than downstream surfaces. Once the minerals depart from the polymer, they remain in a microscopic, harmless crystallized form and flow through and down your drain.
HydroTAC’s® 20µm (micron) radial flow carbon filter cartridges have exceptional chlorine, taste, and odour reduction plus high flow capacity. Through the adsorption, harmful contaminants, adhere to the surface of activated carbon, reducing these impurities efficiently from your water before it flows out of your taps. Manufactured using a unique process that reduces harmful greenhouse gas emissions, these filter cartridges are made from high quality activated carbon from coconut shell; known to be more porous and the most renewable of carbon-based filters. They are designed to allow maximum contact between water and carbon ensuring optimal reduction capabilities with reduced pressure drop.
Employing carbon block technology, our 20µm radial flow carbon filter cartridge removes impurities and contaminants from your water without harming your water flow rate. Coconut shell carbon is one of the most renewable resources used in filters, making this an environmentally sound choice for your home’s water filtration process. That activated carbon improves taste, smell, and purification with its abundance of micro-pores capable of removing a wide range of pollutants from your water. Activated carbon treatment is the most studied treatment for PFAS removal and has been proven to reduce PFAS chemicals. Our activated carbon block has an exceptionally high surface area that will bind to and reduce many contaminants.
