Oyster Taste and Chemicals Under Sink Water Filter

Our Oyster TC taste and chemicals under sink water filter system dramatically improves the taste and odour of your water and removes chlorine, chemicals and sediments.

You can mount this filter as an under sink water filter system or on your bench top.

The housing dimensions are 34H x 26W x 13D (volume occupied in cm).

Your kit will include:

• 2 x white filter housings.
• 1 x dual white housing bracket.
• 1 x 5 micron activated carbon block cartridge (F109009) for chlorine, taste, odour and sediment.
• 1 x 0.5 micron solid block carbon cartridge (MAX-PB)* for chemical and lead removal e.g. arsenic, pesticides, herbicides, VOCs, PAHs, pharmaceutical residues, endocrine disruptors and hormones. Also removes micro-organisms.
• A choice of 5 taps, or you can choose the 'no tap' option.
• Either a self-piercing saddle valve or a 15mm compression valve.
• Red and Blue tubing [2 metres of each].
• 1 x housing spanner.
• DIY instructions - no need for a plumber!

Cartridge details:

• Watts F109009 coconut shell carbon block filter cartridge for chlorine, taste and odour reduction in water.
• 2.5 x 10".
• 5 micron - up to 99% chlorine removal.
• Chlorine reduction >4,000 gallons @ 1.0gpm or 12 months; whichever comes first.
• Thick wall carbon construction for superior performance.
• Outperforms granulated activated carbon (GAC) cartridges as it has superior chlorine reduction, lower pressure drop and will not channel.
• Media wrap between centre tube and carbon block to reduce carbon fibres.
• Maximum operating pressure - 125psi.
• Operating temperature - 50°F to 125°F / 10°C to 52°C.
• Tested and certified NSF/ANSI standard 42 for materials only.
• FDA grade components and materials.
• Tested and verified by independent laboratory testing.

• MAX-PB (chemicals & lead)* 2.5 x 10" solid block activated carbon for long life.

*We may sometimes substitute the MAX-PB-975 with a MAXCL-975. 

What order do the cartridges go in?

In most circumstances the lowest micron rated cartridge goes last in the sequence (on the water out / blue tubing side). For the Oyster Taste and Chemicals under sink water filter the 5 micron carbon block cartridge goes first in the sequence, followed by the 0.5 micron MAX-PB-975.
