Salt Free Softener Tap Filter Oyster

£195.99
NanoCeram PAC and OneFlow TAC hard water filter for your kitchen tap.

Product Description

This is a total game-changer.

We've combined two cutting edge water treatment technologies, NanoCeram PAC™, and OneFlow™ TAC to create a full flow rate water filter that is also highly effective  at dealing with limescale - and all at mains flow rate.

That means it will work without the need for a separate drinking water or 3 way tap, but still gives you great flow and pressure*.

And this filter works at the full flow rate* of a kitchen tap so there's no need for a separate dinking water tap.

The first stage contains a NanoCeram PAC filter cartridge from Argonide.

These are an amazing piece of engineering, employing NASA derived technology for purifyiing recycled water.

The cartridge has a pleated matrix with a high surface area that maintains a high flow rate, while it's electropositive coating gives an effective rating of 0.2 microns.

The benefit is that it gives 99.99% efficiency for the removal of bacteria, cysts, lead, and many other particles.

In addition, the powdered activated carbon coating reduces chemicals such as chlorine, PFAS and more, to drastically improve water quality.

Moving on to the second filtration stage.

Template Assisted Crystallisation technology has been proven to be the most effective, salt free, method of controlling limescale problems.

It's small enough to fit under the kitchen sink and has a OneFlow cartridge from Watts that should last 12 months.

There's no weekly salt top-up, no brine waste, and no need for electricity for the timer or drain to try and fit.

It's also incrediby easy to install because you simply unscrew your existing 1/2" kitchen tap connections and insert this in the gap.

And when it's time to replace the cartridge you can choose between getting a full new cartridge or save your cash and just get a media refill - see the related products below.

The housing dimensions you need to allow for are 35H x 27W x 13D (volume occupied in cm).

* Note that the optimum flow rate is between 6 and 8 litres per minute. That's fairly standard, but if yours is higher simply close the valve in the supply a little.

How does TAC prevent scale build up?

Template Assisted Crystalisation media is a white sand like substance through which water flows from bottom to top through the filter cartridge.

That water flow lifts the grains of TAC media up so that it circulates. The dissolved minerals, mainly calcium carbonate (CaCO3), with a smaller amount of magnesium carbonate (MgCO3), are attacted to the crystallisation sites on the grains of TAC.

When a certain amount of minerals crystalise, they break away from the TAC grain and flow out of the filter and through the pipes, appliances, and other surfaces without depositing hard scale.
