When you've chosen your 3 way tap and are adding it to your shopping cart you'll be asked to select what 3 way tap adaptor you need.
The adaptor is for the connection to your filtered water supply.
You can choose either a 1/4" or 3/8" tap adaptor when buying one of our 3 way taps. This converts the 1/4" (or 3/8") tubing that comes with a water filter to connect with the tap tails.
You'll need to know what the diameter of the pipe/tubing is that connects to the tap tail.
Or you can select "No Adaptor" and allow your plumber to find the correct size.
Chrome taps look stunning when they’re clean and shiny – less so when they’re covered in splash marks or when the spout end is encrusted with limescale!
We consider that you only need a few products to keep your chrome 3 way tap gleaming. We certainly don't recommend you spend hundreds of pounds on fancy cleaning products that guarantee to remove everything - including the chrome finish on your 3 way tap.
If you keep on top of your kitchen cleaning you'll prevent the build-up of water marks which can lead to hardened limescale.
As always the key is consistency.
We suggest that you keep things simple and wipe down your chrome 3 way tap with some nice warm water and a pea sized amout of either washing up liquid or hand soap. Then buff the chrome finish up with a dry microfibre cloth. A microfibre cloth won't scratch the chrome finish on your tap.
Never use anything abrasive to clean your 3 way tap.
If you have a build up of limescale on your tap then we recommend soaking a cloth in Vikal limescale remover spray or lemon juice and securing it over the affected area for an hour or so. This may mean using a rubber band to tie the cloth to the spout end if there is limescale build up on the spout end. After the hour is up just rinse with water and buff the shine back in with a dry microfibre cloth.
For tough limescale, soak a cloth in lemon juice or Vikal, leave over the affected area for an hour, and rinse with water and buff. It's important not to use acidic products like lemon juice on your chrome 3 way tap very often as your tap won't thank you for it in the long run. If you're consistently cleaning your 3 way tap with warm water and soap you shouldn't need to use lemon juice.
If you find you're getting a lot of muck around the base of the tap we find that using an old soft bristle toothbrush works wonders for gentle cleaning. You can also use a soft bristle toothbrush to remove limescale.
We're sure you'll find lots of other ideas for cleaning your 3 way tap out there on the internet such as using baby oil and white vinegar.
Life is too short so keep it simple!
