Overview

The Cumulus 3 way kitchen tap combines a traditional, elegant design with the convenience of filtered drinking water from a single tap. With its classic styling, the Cumulus is particularly well suited to shaker and cottage style kitchens, while its clean lines also work beautifully in more contemporary kitchens.

The Cumulus provides hot, cold and filtered water through separate internal pathways, keeping filtered drinking water separate from your mains water supply. This means you can enjoy filtered water directly from the same tap without needing to install a separate drinking water tap.

Available in chrome, brushed nickel and antique brass, the Cumulus makes it easy to coordinate your tap with your kitchen fittings and overall style. It's substantial design, combined with high flow capacity and smooth quarter turn ceramic valves, makes it practical as well as attractive.

The tap is designed for use with an under sink water filtration system and is backed by a 5 year manufacturer's warranty.

Is this right for my kitchen?

Choose this if

The Cumulus is a great choice if you want the practicality of a 3 way filtered water tap with a more traditional appearance.

It's particularly suited to kitchens where you:

  • Want filtered drinking water without installing a separate tap.
  • Have a shaker, cottage or traditional style kitchen.
  • Prefer a more substantial, classic looking tap.
  • Are looking for a choice of chrome, brushed nickel or antique brass finishes.
  • Want hot, cold and filtered water conveniently controlled from one tap.

Not ideal if

The Cumulus may not be the best choice if you:

  • Don't have, or don't intend to install, an under sink water filtration system.
  • Prefer an ultra modern, minimalist tap design. The Vapour may be a better choice if you prefer a sleeker contemporary style.
  • Are looking for an instant boiling water tap. The Cumulus is designed for standard hot, cold and filtered water.

What to think about before buying

Before ordering the Cumulus, check a few practical details to make sure it's suitable for your kitchen.

  • You'll need an under-sink water filtration system to use the dedicated filtered water function.
  • Check that your water pressure meets the minimum requirement of 0.3 bar.
  • The Cumulus requires a 35mm tap hole, so check your existing hole or worktop before ordering.
  • Make sure there is sufficient space beneath the sink for the tap connections and filter pipework.

Installation

The Cumulus is designed for installation through a 35mm tap hole and connects to your hot, cold and filtered water supplies beneath the worktop.

The filtered water supply connects to the tap separately from the mains hot and cold supplies, maintaining the dedicated pathway for filtered drinking water.

The tap is designed with installation and servicing in mind, making it suitable for use with a wide range of UK domestic plumbing systems.

We recommend having the Cumulus installed by a qualified plumber, particularly where a new water filtration system is being installed at the same time.

Maintenance

The Cumulus uses quarter turn ceramic valves designed for smooth operation and long term reliability. Routine checks of the connections beneath the sink are recommended to ensure everything remains secure and watertight.

If servicing is required, the tap has been designed with maintenance in mind, helping to make servicing and replacement of components straightforward.

Cleaning instructions

To maintain the appearance of your Cumulus tap:

  • Clean regularly with warm water and a soft cloth.
  • Use a mild, non-abrasive washing up liquid if required.
  • Dry the tap after cleaning to reduce water marks.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach and other harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.

Take particular care with the Brushed Nickel and Antique Brass finishes, using gentle cleaning methods to preserve their appearance.

Filter compatibility

The Cumulus is designed to work with any under sink water filtration system, allowing filtered drinking water to be supplied through the filtered water pathway.

It can be used with a variety of drinking water filtration systems, depending on the connection requirements of the individual filter system. If you're replacing an existing 3 way tap, your current filtration system may be suitable for connection to the Cumulus.

If you have any questions regarding water filter compatibility or fittings, please contact us so that we can assist you.

FAQs

What is a 3 way kitchen tap?

A 3 way kitchen tap combines hot, cold and filtered water into a single tap. The filtered water travels through a separate internal waterway, so it remains isolated from your mains hot and cold water supply.

What finishes is the Cumulus available in?

The Cumulus is available in chrome, brushed nickel and antique brass, giving you a choice of finishes to compliment different kitchen styles.

Is the Cumulus suitable for a shaker kitchen?

Yes. The Cumulus has been designed with a traditional appearance that works particularly well in shaker and cottage style kitchens. Its clean design also makes it suitable for modern kitchens.

Can I use the Cumulus with my existing water filter?

In many cases, yes. The Cumulus is designed to connect to an under sink water filtration system. If you're unsure about compatibility with your existing filter, contact us before ordering.

Does the Cumulus need a separate tap for filtered water?

No. Hot, cold and filtered water are all supplied from the Cumulus, so there is no need for a separate drinking water tap.

What size tap hole does the Cumulus require?

The Cumulus requires a 35mm worktop cut out. Please check the technical drawing before installation to ensure you have sufficient space for the tap and connections.
