Overview
The Moby mains water filter is a high performance filtration system designed to dramatically improve the taste, smell, and overall quality of your mains water. An ideal choice if you want filtered water directly from your existing kitchen tap.

Is this right for me?
Choose this if
You want great tasting, chlorine free water straight from your existing kitchen tap; with powerful filtration for chemicals, PFAS, sediment, and microplastics without installing a separate filter tap.
Not ideal if
You're looking to filter water throughout your entire home, as this system is designed for a single cold water supply rather than whole house filtration.
What to check before buying
- Available space: ensure you have at least H 38cm x W 30cm x D 18cm available where the filter will be installed.
- Installation point: confirm you want filtration on the cold water supply only (typically to the kitchen tap) and not a whole house system.
- Pipe size: check whether your plumbing uses 15mm (1/2") or 22mm (3/4") connections so the correct ports are supplied.
- Filtration needs: decide whether the standard 5 micron carbon block is sufficient, or if you want the upgraded option for longer life, better chlorine reduction, and improved PFAS and VOC removal.
Your kit will include:
- 1 x big blue filter housing
- 1 x white housing bracket
- 1 x 5 micron activated carbon block cartridge (Watts WCBFF975) or you can select the MAXCL-FF975 or equivalent for maximum chlorine reduction.
- Either 1/2 for 15mm or 3/4 for 22mm ports
- Isolating flexis (no need for extra ball valves)
- 1 x double check valve
- 1 x housing spanner

Cartridge details:
- Watts WCBFF975 coconut shell carbon block filter cartridge for chlorine, taste, odour and sediment reduction.*
- 5 micron / 4.5 x 10"
- Outperforms GAC cartridges as it has superior chlorine reduction (up to 99%), lower pressure drop, will not channel and costs less than a GAC cartridge.
- Media wrap between centre tube and carbon block to reduce carbon fines.
- 100% coconut shell carbon.
- FDA grade components and materials.
- Recommended flow rate - 4 gpm
- Maximum operating pressure: 125 PSIG
- Operating temperature: 10°C - 52°C / 50°F - 125°F
- Chlorine reduction - >10,000 Gal @ 2 gpm
- Tested and certified under NSF / ANSI standard 42 for materials only.
*on some occasions a different brand of carbon block cartridge may be used.
As an alternative to the Watts WCBFF975 you can select the Watts MAXCL-FF975 (or equivalent) carbon block water filter cartridge for longer life and high chlorine reduction - it's also better for PFAS.

Do I have to install a mains water filter under my sink?
No, you don't. You can install your mains water filter wherever is most suitable. However, a Moby is not a whole house filter unless it is a single person / one bathroom property.
