NanoCeram Filter 2.5 x 10'' (0.2 micron filter)

The NanoCeram P series of nano filter cartridges gives you a unique combination of efficiency, capacity, flow rate and low pressure drop at levels that are unmatched in the water filtration marketplace.

The 0.2 micron filter is designed to satisfy the most difficult requirements in water treatment. Rapid and highly efficient absorption of virtually all particle sizes from as large as tens of microns or as small as a few nanometers.

Each Nano filter cartridge has a 0.2 micron rating, which is typically associated with microporous membranes. Yet NanoCeram flow rates are hundreds of times greater than such membranes.

The NanoCeram filter cartridge is a good choice of ultrafilter for application in existing standard sized housings such as our Pearl and Oyster (2.5 x 10), and Moby (4.5 x 10 ) filter kits.

We can also supply NanoCeram cartridges for 20 housings.

The Argonide 0.2 micron nano filter cartridge comes as standard in our Pearl Nano Ceramic water filter.

The 4.5'' x 10'' NanoCeram filter cartridge is ideal for upgrading your Big Blue housing to a 0.2 micron filter for increased confidence in your water.

NanoCeram filter media is capable of removing 99.9999% of bacterial and protozoan organisms such as Giardia Intestinalis, Cryptosporidium, E-coli, Mycobacteria, Aspergillus, Legionella, Pseudomonas and Salmonella.

Why do I need to change the o-ring?

You can tell if the seals start leaking, which is obvious, I know.

Even if there are no leaks you may find that the profile of the O ring becomes flattened because of prolonged time under compression. The cross section should be round and if it's not it may not seal easily.

However, I recommend that you replace the O rings every two or three years as a precautionary measure.

One of the main reasons for changing O rings periodically is that as they age and compress, the housing bowl needs to be tightened excessively. That leads to difficulty loosening the bowl from the cap next time the cartridge needs to be replaced.
